Cuppy version 13 (Yahtzee™ Party) |
 |
|
Need a whole bunch of Yahtzees using Roomy?
- Choose which browser you are going to use (Firefox or Internet Explorer only, not Google Chrome) and sign in to the game site with your account. I
recommend FF, since it opens and closes rooms faster than IE.
- Make sure this browser is your default browser to ensure that Cuppy knows this is the one we will be using. In FF5, you click the Firefox button
at the top left, Options, the Advanced tab, then the "Check Now" button. In IE9, click the cogwheel Tools icon at the upper right, Internet options,
the Programs tab, then the "Make default" button.
- Now close all windows on your computer, including your browser window. Roomy doesn't need a game open to start. It will do it for you, now that you
have everything set properly.
- Open my Cuppy auto and set these options: Yahtzees only (Any Yahtzee), Chance 20+ (off), Free Play! (off), Roomy (Wild), Speed (100), Chat (off). If you
need Roll six Yahtzees with sixes, change the Yahtzees only option accordingly. If you think you have a better chance in the Classic rooms, knock
yourself out.
- You are ready. Move Cuppy off to some corner of your screen and click Start. Your Yahtzees are now maximized.

| 13 (7.19.2011) By request, I rearranged some of the code (in the Roomy department) to help maximize Yahtzees. Before,
the auto would leave the room if your score didn't qualify for a jackpot spin or if there wasn't enough time up there on the clock to play an entire game. Sure,
that's great for rank and all, but not really for Roll 1,000 Yahtzees in one hour because Cuppy would be closing your window if you didn't score high enough.
This update should now take care of these challenges as well (when using Roomy). It will stick around to get your Yahtzee credit even if you have a low score.
And it will also play every room it encounters, regardless of how much time is left. Read the above "Tip" for exact details on how to maximize your
Yahtzees using Roomy. Thanks for the suggestion, Graham! I am sure everyone will appreciate it. |
| 12 (6.20.2011) Added my Roomy feature to help speed rank progress. If it works for you, great! Not
all computers can hang with opening and closing continuous browser windows. If Google Chrome is your default browser, you will have to pick something
else because Chrome doesn't like the links sent to it (keeps trying over and over). Firefox is the better/faster choice for Roomy, since IE seems to be doing
a "double-load" each time. To make FF or IE your default web browser, just go in their options and make it happen. If you don't want to use Roomy,
keep both Classic and Wild unchecked inside Cuppy. Otherwise, checkmark either or both. If you checkmark both, the auto will randomize between
the two styles of rooms. I have been told Classic is the way to go, as it gives more jackpot spins toward rank. You do not have to have an open Yahtzee game
ready when you start the auto. Just open Cuppy, checkmark Roomy's Classic and click Start. The auto will open a random Play Now room and immediately
check the circle clock timer to ensure there's enough time to play an entire game. If not, Cuppy will close the window and load a different room. But that's
not the best part. When you are finished all of your rolls, Cuppy will look at your score and make sure you qualify for a jackpot spin. Why stick around in
a room that won't give you some rank and waste all of those extra minutes to receive nothing? That's right... the auto will immediately leave if you aren't
getting a spin. I recommend keeping Cuppy's Speed on 100 (or close to it) for maximum rankage. You may see some weird quirks here and there, but for the most
part, this update should help speed things along. If you can't get Roomy working (or if you are just going to nitpick or complain that it's not 100% perfect
in every way), don't use it! Sometimes it lasts for 12-24 hours solid, depending on their servers. It is what it is, and I offer you a faster path for what
you seek. |
| 11 (6.16.2011) Added a Free Play! option by request. Uncheck it to skip the bonus games. Maybe
it will help some of you that were having Cripes java problems. |
| 10 (10.27.2010) The location of where you type in the chat room was moved north because of the
new gifting concept. It was causing the New Gifts button to be clicked instead, only to those that had Cuppy's Chat option enabled.
Thanks for letting me know about it, Linda and Gavin. |
| 9 (4.20.2010) The game site has a trigger-happy title bar changer, obviously. This morning, the person
spelled Yahztee incorrectly. What an idiot. This updated version will accept either Yahtzee or Yahztee up there, lowercase or uppercase.
So when they realize their error and fix it, the auto should still be okay. Thanks for letting me know: Bill, Larry, Linda, Lynn, Montana. |
| 8 (4.7.2010) Game site changed title bar yesterday, causing Not Found. Easy fix. Thanks
to those that took the time to let me know. |
| 7 (4.1.2010) This auto now plays the game inside your Facebook window as well, if you are in to
challenging scores and leaderboards with your friends. If you are having any issues, Firefox might be the better browser choice. |
| 6 (2.9.2010) The new black strips caused a minor issue. Easy fix. If you are using Internet Explorer, make sure you
stay out of tabbed mode. Have your pop-ups open in a new window instead, as described in the Questions "Changing out of tab mode" section
of my site. Or just use Firefox, of course. |
| 5 (10.28.2009) Okay, the original Yahtzees only option has expanded somewhat. You can now select which
Yahtzees you would like to create. This helps for those challenges that require "Roll 5 Yahtzees with Fives in 2 weeks!" or similar. Now, all you have
to do is select "Fives" in my Yahtzee option and Cuppy will maximize the situation by keeping only fives (and wilds). The original option is still
available, so just select Any Yahtzee in the pull-down and you're set. Thanks for the suggestion, Graham (and a few others)! |
| 4 (4.30.2009) Added a Chance 20+ option for future challenges. At the beginning of each game, Cuppy will
attempt to roll 20 or more points (by keeping only fours, fives and sixes) and score the total in your Chance slot. I didn't want to completely uproot the
current code, so it may miss an opportunity once in a great while. But 95% of the time, it accomplishes the task perfectly. So thanks for the neat request, Joe! |
| 3 (3.29.2009) They reverted back, so I fixed the non-club Blocked rooms again. Also, for non-club accounts only,
I will not be updating this auto every time the game site plasters an advertisement in the background. That's a little ridiculous to maintain. |
| 2 (12.2.2008) Fixed non-club Blocked rooms. |
| 1 (11.4.2008) Not much to say on this one. It plays all tabbed modes (Classic or Wild, Fast or Slow) and
the free play games. You should experience around 45% jackpot spins in Classic mode. I actually wrote a side program that could play tens of thousands
of games very quickly, which allowed me to alter Cuppy's intel easier and get this percentage as high as possible. The Yahtzees only option is
strictly for future challenges. Maybe down the road you will need to "Roll 2 million Yahtzees this week!" At that time, turn on the option and Cuppy
will strictly shoot for Yahtzees and ignore everything else (straights, the upper card, etc.) Thanks, everyone, for your overwhelming response to this
phenomenal auto! |
